Welcome to Southlake Baptist Church of Waxahachie, Texas! When we begin each time of worship, we all say - "Where everybody is somebody, and JESUS is Lord of all!" We do that because we believe that! Southlake serves as a spiritual home for individuals and families in Waxahachie and the surrounding areas. We offer various gatherings that include Sunday morning worship, small group Bible study, and community outreach initiatives, with the goal of LOVING GOD, LOVING PEOPLE. AND SHARING THE GOSPEL STORY.
ABOUT OUR LEADERSHIP
Jeff and Joy Morrison are no strangers to ministry. They have served churches in California, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, and Texas in full-time ministry for 40 years. Like so many, Jeff began ministry as a worship leader, choir director, youth pastor, etc. before being called by God to being a lead pastor. Their gifts/talents and calling have allowed them to serve in smaller churches that may have needs in many areas.
Joy is very gifted as an artist, a ventriloquist, puppet master, and pianist; as well as a mom of four daughters! Her variety of gifts has allowed her to serve in a variety of areas especially with kids' church.
